Come Learn to Fish Folsom Lake

Summer Heat brings HOT fishing action at Folsom Lake.  NOW is the time to learn the ins and outs of trolling Folsom Lake.  Spend a day with Wes on the water, and capture 20 years of experience fishing this notoriously challenging lake.  On a daily guide trip, we deploy a variety of tactics to target landlocked king salmon and rainbow trout.  Folsom is notorious for having some of the largest salmon in the state. 

Hands On Instruction

Folsom Lake has a reputation for being challenging to many anglers.  Spend a day on Wes's boat and learn in-depth tips and tactics in real time using a variety of tackle and gear.

We typically meet between 6-7am depending on the season.  A typical day is until 2-3pm or when limits are caught.


All fishing gear is provided.  Every person on the boat must have a valid CA fishing license. You can bring snacks and drinks for the day.  There is plenty of room for a small cooler/ bag.  Dress in layers and pack sunscreen. 

*No alcohol is permitted on the boat.* 


Yes! We will clean and bag your catch at the end of the trip.  You may want to have a cooler with ice in your vehicle for the trip home.


We troll for salmon and trout using a variety of tackle and techniques.
